Mon Père Shiraz 2022
Mon Père Shiraz 2022
We're celebrating 20 years of being in Tassie with a special vintage shiraz release. The 2018 and 2019 Mon Père are drinking beautifully - quite different, but both with delicious cool climate shiraz characters balanced with delicate oak courtesy of Nick's hand-picked Rhône Valley barrels.
2018 Mon Père Shiraz
This was a relatively early and warm season for Tasmania. The 2018 Mon Père has a aromas of black olive tapenade, fresh white pepper, violets, smoked meat, graphite. Medium-plus body with tightly wound black fruits. Blackberry, cassis, and mulberry, wrapped around a firm core of mineral and savoury spice. Subtle cured-meat and herb notes unfurl with air.
“The legend that is Glaetzer Dixon Mon Pere Shiraz. Drinking it is like rummaging around a forest floor, the wine’s juicy acidity, satiny texture and choc-nut notes providing all the light/shade/life/interest you could hope for.
